Project Overview
VBuddies is an AI-powered memoir writing platform, designed to support memory and wellbeing through structured storytelling and conversational recall. We are seeking expert consultancy to establish the theoretical and evidence-based foundation for this work.
The project aims to generate rigorous technical evidence demonstrating a reasonable expectation of success, and to define clear research pathways for future development.
Scope of Consultancy
The selected consultant will work with our team to:
-
Define a Cognitive Framework: Identify key cognitive and emotional mechanisms of memory encoding, retrieval, and self-reflection most relevant to memoir and structured life-review therapy approaches.
-
Assess Feasibility and Impact Potential: Evaluate the theoretical and practical feasibility of using structured storytelling and conversational recall to support cognitive function and wellbeing.
-
Outline Measurable Outcomes and Future Research Pathways: Recommend metrics and behavioural indicators that could be used to assess impact in later trials or pilot studies.
-
Define Research Pathways and Measurable Outcomes: Recommend potential markers of memory engagement and wellbeing that can be used in later validation studies or product trials.
-
Guide Early Platform Design Concepts: Translate cognitive principles into actionable design considerations — e.g., effective prompt framing, content sequencing, and user interaction strategies.
Deliverables
By the end of the consultancy, we anticipate:
-
A comprehensive research and advisory report detailing conceptual frameworks, feasibility findings, and key recommendations for early-stage development.

A final presentation or workshop with the VBuddies team to review outcomes and discuss next steps for future R&D.
